A Hong Kong/Shanghai presence for close to 50 years, with solid UK roots,
Andrew Bull aka DJ El TORO is the original Greater-China DJ clubland legend. 


Effortlessly blending the passion of his London-to-Kowloon disco beginnings with the
new sounds of the global electronic house music movement, international dance-floors
have seen DJ El Toro return to the top of his DJ game in recent years. 

Channeling the energy and inspiration of New York’s 70’s - 80’s clubland and steeped
in its great music culture, Andrew Bull sowed the seeds of STUDIO 54 in Hong Kong and
China as resident DJ at iconic 70’s - 80’s Hong Kong venues The Scene, Taipan Club,

Disco Disco; and as the creator and founder of Kowloon’s legendary Canton Disco.
Mr. Bull’s iconic ‘Canton Disco’ continues to be recognized as representing the Golden
Age of 80’s / 90’s Hong Kong nightlife. Confirming that, his iconic, pioneering clubbing
work was recently tributed by no less Ian Shrager and the Marriott Corporation at their
flagship Shanghai Edition Hotel on the Bund. See here:

Fast-forward to 2020 and DJ El TORO has racked up a myriad of shows at some of
dance music’s most revered clubs and festivals. Celebrating a full 50 years on the decks
this year he is hailed as one of the great party DJs - delivering emotional sets laced with
effortless mixing, impeccable selections and sheer exuberance that audiences find totally
inclusive and liberating.
