October holiday in China: higher rates and more tourists

By in News on

Traveling around China during the upcoming National Day golden week holiday in the first week of October may want to start their holiday early or postpone it to later in the month, according to Chinese media reports claiming that most travel routes will cost 10 to 20 percent more than usual.

Yunnan, along with the provinces of Hainan and Sichuan, is expected to be one of the most popular destinations for Chinese travelers during the weeklong national holiday celebrating the founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949. Falling shortly after the end of the rainy season, October is considered one of the best times to visit Yunnan.
