Chinese National Day will be celebrated in a somewhat non-traditional way this year in southern Yunnan. The second incarnation of the Puzhehei Warm Spring Music Festival will begin October 1 amidst the Karst mountains of Puzhehei (普者黑).

Coming six months after the inaugural Puzhehei Warm Spring Music Festival, this edition features some of the top bands from Kunming while also bringing in heavy-hitters from Bangkok, Chengdu and Zhengzhou.

Special guests include a mix of performers showcasing varied musical styles. Two solo jazz singers will grace the stage — Yunnan's own Huang Xibei (黄夕倍) and Da Chunzi (大春子) from Henan. They will be joined at the festival by Thai actor and pop star PCHY (aka Pitch).

Longtime Chengdu rockers Ashura (阿修罗) are scheduled to appear following up their July show at Qimijiu Bar. Eighteen Yunnan-based bands are also slated to perform at the festival, which runs from October 1 through October 3.

Doesnt this festival have nothing to do with the last puzhehei festival? I heard its completely different organizers. Seems like whoever organized this used the work of the last organizers work towards their benefit.

Just a reminder to people going to music festival :

Don't forget your ID. Last time the police demanded passports from all
foreigners to keep until we left Puzhehei.

There was only the Chinese beer available, so bring your own Beer Lao, Scotch, Vodka, etc....

Layer up, the night time gets really cold...

OK, ready to party? Hell Yeah!

I've been trying to get ahold of Xiao yu at 1597484331 but I think the number posted here is incomplete or wrong, because im told the number doesn't exist everytime i dial.
