Forums > Travel Yunnan > Chinese Embassy in Luang Prabang?

Howdy ho good people of Kunming,

Does anyone know if there is a Chinese embassy in Luang Prabang, or do I have to go to Vientiane?

Thought there was one, but have not been able to find any info about this on the interweb.

Forums > Travel Yunnan > Extending visa in Dali?

Blobbels:

I asked the PSB if there was any circumstances where it was possible to extend more than once, they told me no.

I've heard through the grapevine that somebody was able to extend a bit more than a month while doing the first extension. The reason was that they had a flight leaving a bit later than the one month extension.

Anyways, it seems like it`s still only possible to extend for one month max.

Getting a one month student visa is costly, but possible.

Hey,

I just read in a newspaper that 2 months is the best time to buy...

Then again, Iv'e also heard that ordering during the night is best, because of the low activity on the airlines web pages. There are also a lot of other things that people claim are good ways of ordering tickets.

In the article I read, they said research showed that most of these things were just BS.

The golden rule seems to not do it during a specific holiday (if possible), order early and to fly in a week day.

Best of luck to you...

Liumingke1234:

Yes, bars all over the world are full with drunk and horny devils.

The same goes for churches, which are filled with stingy, old peadophiles.

Only Hooligans attend sport matches.

Only the Antichrist listens to music where they use the electric guitar.

Obviously, only psychopaths eat cupcakes.

And finally, there have been multiple studies about people with 867 posts, saying they are Justin Bieber listening spunk monkeys.

Only been to the one south in Kunming, which is close to the international school.

Staff are very friendly and they have some western food stuff for sale, such as cheese, bbq sauce and pasta etc.
My favorite is the salad bar, which might be one of the best deals when it comes to food in Kunming.

Food never arrives on the same time and the bread, although it`s better than Bread Works, Rambo Bread and Carrefour, it`s not really good. Back home in the old country, no one would eat it. Here in Kunming it can be a decent back up for bread craving dudes like myself.

Overall a nice place to go for food and if it wasn't for the salad bar I would give it 3 stars as the food isn't all that.

On a sunny day, the upstairs balcony is a nice place to smoke while waiting for the food.

Been here a couple of times and I really like this place. It`s a cozy "hippie" place with good bread, decent pizza and yummy yogurt. Prices are OK for some stuff, but I think some stuff is just too expensive. I Like it tho and would recommend it.
