What is the new process for getting a police clearance from your home country?

Seems like a whole system of certifying and recertifying the same document, but I can't seem to get a clear line on it.

Anyone been through this recently?

Clothing is a pain to find in my size and it is pretty much all I buy when I go home.

Some ingredients are a bit expensive, but most stuff is available. Taobao has more stuff than you could imagine delivered to your door. Failing that, just post on GoKunming and someone will help you find what you need.

I agree with Dazzer, the condoms here hurt.. if you are man, you should probably stock up.

It seems to take me about 30 mins on the train to get downtown, plus the time to walk to the station and wait about for the next train to come.

The apartments Kingofthekerb mentioned are nice, I would also suggest checking out the areas around 奥宸 as you can get a lot for your money with the abundance of newer apartments.

I live about five minutes walk from 珥季路 station behind 奥宸. I was a bit reluctant to move into the south, but I also work down this way and am enjoying the being out of the city centre.

I might go back that way again if I can get control of my work and study, but for the moment I am content with a more homely lifestyle that gives me time to focus. I don't think I would be able to handle it if I was after a very active social life or didn't enjoy cooking at home.

While I am on the topic of calendars, a schedule of minority festivals around the province would be awesome too.

All looks good.. Have always thought that the calendar would be well served by an "add this event" or "subscribe" button that would allow users to add events to their personal calendars with a click or subscribe to events at their favourite venues.

Awesome article. Thanks Matthew and GoKunming for getting this out early so that people can plan to get down to experience this.

Has GoKunming ever looked at creating a festivals Wiki page or something with a list of all these random things that happen around the province. It seems impossible to stay informed of these until it is too late. Might be easier to accomplish it it was community driven.

Also, those maps are fantastic. What program was used to make them??

Awesome little bakery. Lots of interesting food. For every Australian out there, the meat pies smelled great, though they weren't ready for eating when I went in. Will definitely be back for those soon.
