Any places around kunming that carry good single malt?

They have a couple of bottles at Metro but not the really good stuff.

there's a local distributor for all sortsa western liquors just off the east
end of baiyun lu. if you take the 55 past both carrefours, past the taobao
building, and keep going.......the bus route makes a short jog through a

residential area near i forget what hospital. anyway....the liquor store
is on the east side of yuanding lu (园丁路)near the intersection with

yingbin li (according to google maps) just before the bus turns back
onto baiyun lu. if you hit bailong lu and the 2nd ring road overpass,

that's a bridge too far. great selection of hard likker and all sorts of
imported wines. pretty decent prices as far as i could tell.

That's 3 minutes walk from where I live, I think I've been there - not much sinlge malt. I'll recheck and let ya know.

I have seen some decent bottles floating around bars here and there. You might want to ask the bartender if he can give you a number for their distributor. Another option would be to hit up one of the wine shops and see if they can special order for you.

Just about every whiskey (and whisky) you can imagine is available on Taobao, but make sure you take a good look at the seller's feedback figures before you buy.

bus 55, forgot the stop, it's the one right after you take the silly hospital loop. around the corner and not far down the street. use google maps to get a rough idea.

ask for the discount price.. glenfiddich and johnny walker black are both 195 for a rough price idea. they have all sorts of stuff
