When Does Rainy Season End?
It doesn't end. This is Kunming. This is life.
The heavy rain was laid on for the Kunming Marathon. In fairness the weather seems better/drier/warmer than 2015 and 2016. For most of last week we did have strong sunshine for at least half the day.
When the dry season starts ;-)
Well hypothetically.
Every Sunday afternoon at around 4PM.
Generally, the South Asia monsoon season is a good indicator of how much rain is falling in Yunnan. It typically ends in late August or early September. But this year parts of India, Bangladesh and Myanmar are getting absolutely pummeled, which is affecting us here in southwest China too.

As for Summer, this is a leap summer year, so we skipped summer this year. Summer MAY resume its regularly scheduled appearance in 2018.
Personally, I'm just glad we're not on water rationing - that was beginning to get scary.
I'm kind of wondering if this winter will also be an epic winter (lots of snow, exploding water meters v2, etc).
I think this winter will be a really bad.
I'm sure we'll manage somehow
