Don’t forget to sign up for our July Green Screening. For this month, we are very excited to have invited Jonathan Reed as our guest speaker for the night. He will be discussing his time working for an orphanage in China and the difficulties orphans(especially HIV/AIDS orphans) have accessing proper health resource.

Jonathan Reed was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, USA. He has been working with kids and teens since he was young. Starting in high school where he volunteered at local churches and helped with the children’s ministries. After finishing university he worked at Heartlight Ministries, a therapeutic school for troubled teens. There he worked with teenagers who were struggling with various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, social skills issues and learning disorders.


After Heartlight he spent some time working as a Parenting Consultant and Coach, working directly with families in educating parents on child development and parenting strategies. This is what lead Jonathan to teaching and finally moving to China to work as a teacher. He now works at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics and spends time volunteering at a local orphanage.
