Strawberry Guesthouse is an intimate, private retreat on the outskirts of Lijiang Old Town, near the Drum Tower. With only three double guestrooms, private courtyard, bathroom, and self-catering kitchen, Strawberry Guesthouse is perfect for both family groups and individual travelers who want a quiet base from which to explore the Lijiang area.
Conveniently located in a commercially undeveloped area near the Old Town's only car park and a few minutes walk from both old and new town centres, Strawberry is Lijiang with none of the stress. Advance booking required.

Lijiang old town is very well catered for in the accomodation category with seemingly endless beautiful Naxi courtyards with views of the mountains etc.
Strawberry is one of many in this respect but with a big difference. Owing to its small size and relatively remote location it is incredibly quiet and private. There are more attractive buildings and better locations in Lijiang but the tour groups hawking and shouting outside your room at seven in the morning tend to detract from the idyllic atmosphere if you know what I mean!
With clean rooms, 24 hour hotwater, free WIFI, a DVD room and a private courtyard which catches the sun all day, Strawberry has pretty much got everything covered. It also has a laid back vibe - the guests all seem to get to know each or get to very quickly and the kitchen is well stocked with coffee, tea etc which is all free. One thing I would say is that it is a little hard to find which means you have to call up to get someone to come and meet you the first time you go.
I would highly recommend this homely, espescially to small groups and individual travellers who are looking for somewhere chilled to stay a little longer. It has a noticeably different feel to most other Lijiang establishments
