    • This is the perfect spot for musicians trying to improve their craft.

Here is the equipment available to all for open jam sessions on stage as of this date:

      1. Big, loud guitar amp (bring your own guitar or borrow someone else's)
      2. A house kit with house sticks.
      3. Bass amp with a house bass.
      4. House microphone

The mezzanine is a good spot watch the jams without getting bumped.

The downers here are that it's extremely smoky and you'll smell pretty bad by the time you leave. Also there are these two tire stacks right in the middle of the way to the bar/bathroom, so walking to the there is always a hassle.

Thursdays are the busiest nights, so you'd better come with a few friends on a different day to get more playing time :)

    • Awesome chill out spot with cool people and great jam sessions. I liked the fact it was by the river and had an outside area to sit down. Highly recommend it.

    • This used to be a great music bar with a predominantly local crowd. Unfortunately, the bars either side play their idiotic tunes so loud that the Jah bar has to play their own excellent music really loud. Conversing is difficult. In lieu of speaking hippy drum circles have lighted like leprosy. If staring blankly and randomly beating a drum is your cup of tea then come here. If not then get here early and get a seat outside where you can chat in relative peace and quiet and still enjoy one of the better drinking holes in Chengdu.

    • I have had some amazing nights at the Jah bar. The jam sessions can be very good fun. The view over the river from outside is wonderful. The one problem is that the music from the bars next door forces the Jah to play its own music a bit too loud. And the acoustic guitar for jamming is a piece of crap...
