I'm off to Dali tomorrow for the first time but clever as I am I forgot to check in advance which bus station to go to and Yunnan bus tables online isn't exactly in Wiki class. Could someone suggest a bus station near Think UK? What should I expect to pay for the ticket?

Go out the east gate of Think UK to Kunrui Lu/Dianmian Dadao, cross the street and walk a few hundred meters south (right) and you will be in front of Xizhan Passenger Station, where there are loads of buses to Dali, Lijiang, Zhongdian, even Luang Prabang, Laos. Dali buses are 120 yuan, I believe.

The new west bus station serves Dali, Lijiang, Zhongdian, etc: http://www.gokunming.com/[...]
Despite its official name, the place seems to be colloquially known as the Majie Bus station (马街客运站), after the part of town in which it's located.
